
Okay. Summer is here! YAHOO!!!! Now you can sleep in, play games with your friends, ride your bike, go swimming, go to camp…do so many fun things!
But, in order to have the energy to do all of these things you need to remember to keep eating healthy foods. There are lots of ways to eat the right things and to enjoy them.Here is a fun idea:
Make your own pizza party. Try using a flatbread or ‘pocketless pitas’ to create and eat your own pizzas. Assemble all sorts of your favourite foods and have a contest to see who can make the most original pizza. The only rule is: you have to eat what you make!
Here are some food suggestions:
- Pizza sauce or pesto sauce
- Feta, mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Peanut butter (Make sure your friends dont have allergies!!)
- Olives
- Red, green, yellow and orange peppers
- Bananas
- Cooked pasta
- Leftover chicken or beef
